Armenian-American pianist Anna Sarkisova is internationally recognized for her ability to form a palpable emotional connection with her audience. She plays with a virtuoso’s technique and unparalleled musicality. Her unique combination of Russian and Austrian schools of piano playing gives her a vast musical perspective. Anna performs on some of the world’s most famous stages, her enthralling concerts captivating the ears of listeners throughout Europe, the United States, Asia, and beyond. Casual listeners and maestros alike applaud her unmistakable purity of tone, meticulous technique, and profound musical interpretation.

Anna has won first place at multiple renowned international piano competitions. She has worked with a long list of prominent musicians, including Rudolf Kehrer, Oxana Yablonskaya, Oleg Meisenberg, Leonid Brumberg, Alexander Braginsky, Paul Badura-Skoda, Dmitry Rachmanov, Arkady Sevidov, Lazslo Simon, Jacques Rouvier, Jura Margulis, Malcolm Bilson, and Vladimir Chernov.

Anna's prodigious talent was recognized at a very young age. She was introduced to music by her mother, a pianist herself. Anna made her orchestral debut at age eight, performing Mendelssohn’s G Minor and Haydn’s D Major concertos. At twelve she began to work with Professor Igor Yavryan, who studied under the unmatched pianist and pedagogue Lev Vlasenko. Anna quickly progressed under his guidance, winning first place in the prestigious "Citta Di Senigallia" competition in Italy, her very first international appearance. Her success led to invitations to participate in several other esteemed music festivals, including Viener Musikseminar and the International Summer Academy Mozarteum in Austria, Bravo Music Festival in the United States, and Barcelona Music Festival in Spain, among others.

At sixteen, Anna entered Yerevan State Conservatory in Armenia, on special scholarships awarded by Vladimir Spivakov and Konstantin Orbelyan. She continued to perform worldwide, both as a soloist and as a chamber musician. At nineteen she moved to Austria to further her musical education at Vienna Conservatory of Music.

In 2009 Anna was offered a full tuition scholarship to UCLA’s Herp Alpert School of Music, where she studied under world famous pianist Vitaly Margulis, serving as one of his last students. After completing her Masters in Music degree from UCLA, Anna continued her studies at University of Southern California’s Thornton School Of Music, where she earned her Doctor of Musical Arts degree in piano performance, under the guidance of Stewart Gordon.

Anna is currently working on a solo album, which will include works from both Russian and German composers.
